Srly… photographers are not some lower creatures. They are craftsman or artists and they can decided what they want to take a photo of or not. Or if and when they edit picures. >/

Also: Be fucking grateful there are photographers who take pics of you.
You can be a fucking god at making costumes or props but guess what asshole, noone gives a fuck if you don’t have good pictures. You can be the best actor there is and a beauty like noone has ever seen before, it’s all no use if noone’s out there to capture it, to make it into a form of art.
The main expression of character likeness, of your costume, beauty and whatever message you want to deliver and express is at the hands of photographers. You are just a dressed up person and the one who can make you into a piece of art to be put on the internet is the photographer.
You can take pics of your craftmanship, of course, but if you want to have a picture that says something, that has an impact on someone out there, it will need the skill and creativity of a good photographer.
Without it, your whole cosplaying experience is just bound to the time you wear a costume at a convention or a fair. Photographers help you capture those moments, make them a littlebit less bound to time and help you share what you worked on.
Your cosplays’ whole existence and impact on the internet and anywhere outside of conventions- is inevitabely bound to the work of a photographer-
So show some fucking respect, gdi!
